Closing the escrow: Closing an escrow consists of recording all required documents at the County Recorder's office, and preparing a closing statement or "settlement "statement which shows the final accounting of all funds deposited and disbursed. The disbursement of funds will generally occur one business day after close of escrow. Escrows which close on Friday cannot be disbursed until Monday.

Possession of the property is determined by prior agreement between the parties. Keys to the property are exchanged through the real estate agents or directly between the Buyer and Seller.
